As a Kickboxing Instructor and member of Trinity's Tae Kwon Do team I have had plenty of experience punching and kicking things (and people). In January 2009 I took "Are You Prepared?" and was reminded of how fighting in a competition is completely different than being prepared to fight in a real life experience. Even after learning effective techniques I remember being very nervous for our "Final Exam," but because of attentive instructors who made sure each and every participant understood what we were doing and why we did it, I passed the exam and feel more confident and empowered.
